Genasi

Genasi is the collective term for those planetouched that are particularly influenced by the elemental planes surrounding Sanzeia. Most of the time, Genasi are said to be the children of genies (from which they derive their names) this is largely assumed due to the reason that among elementals only the genies have the basic appearance to be compatible with mortal biology. Genasi, while inheriting traits from their planar ancestor, tend to be as varied as most mortal races.

Owing perhaps to their elemental nature, genasi are the most alien of all the plantouched to the people of Sanzeia; features such as flames that do not burn, stone skin, or hair constantly moving as if underwater are common markers for genasi. The Primordial War is far to long gone in pre-history to even influence people's thinking, but most few genasi with alternating awe or suspicion. Genasi, of all the plantouched, are the least likely to attempt to hide their abnormal appearences, perhaps out of some sort of inheired elemental pride.
