Cathair

Cathair (which is pronounced K-AA-T-H-AI-R) is the capital of Alba

Government

The Captital of Alba is run by the Queen herself along with her council of advisors.

Defences

There is a wall surrounding Cathair which has look out towers on each corner with guards patrolling the walls. Around the walls is a moat and the bridge is raised and lowered to let people in and out of Cathair.

Industry & Trade

Cathair as the Capital is the central hub or all trade and industry. It is a mix of all the best Alba has to offer such as Blacksmiths, Tailors, Butchers and Brewers.

Infrastructure

At the centre of Cathair is Castle Salvar where the current ruling Queen lives. There are roads that lead through every street in Cathair under which are the sewers to keep the capital clean. There is one bridge leading in and out of the Capital.

Assets

Cathair has a large market place where items from all over Alba are bought, sold and traded. Business owners from all over come to sell their goods here as it is the best place to do so. It is also the place to go if you wish to become a knight worthy of the Queen.

History

Cathair is also known as the First City and that is because it is the first settlement in the history of Alba. It goes further back in history than any other settlement in Alba. It is said that the first Salvar created the City with the help of Fae along with other magical creatures such as Giants and Witches. But most brush that off as just a Myth.

Architecture

The buildings are crafted from stone and wood brought from the Ashtown among other places. The Buildings are decorated in bright colours, the brighter your house, the richer you were.
