War of the Schism

Heated disputes what to do with cracking of the Dome led to armed clashes between supporters of the two main courses of action. The clashes quickly escalated into a war between members of the Order and eventually destroyed it. Tthe fights had damaged and compromised the menagerie and the prison, so captivies there broked free. Some managed to escape into the open world, but others found themselves thrapped warring sides. Order's civil war turned into three-sided war that rapidly destroyed the headquarters. Former Order's members had to turn aside their differences and united at the face of the new threat. The eve of third day of the war finally brought peace at last. All those who had escaped from the prison and managerie wer either destroyed or banish deep into the dungeons and catacombs. The two warring faction signed a peace agreement, placed blockade over the ruins of their former headquarter and splitted. Both of them left small garrsion to monitor the blockade and ruins, and to prevent dangerous creatures from escaping.

The Conflict

Prelude

News for the cracking of the Dome over the Night Empire reaches Order of Purity's council and ignite heated debates what measures should be taken. There were many different ideas that heavily divided the Order. That passed quickly, and soon two different main concepts gathered followers after them.

  • The first one demanded reforming of the Order into more military-oriented form and then assembly large strike-force that to debark at Western Continent and erradicate everything and anything thet comes from under the Dome. Its came from some members of the radical wing of the Order and, logically, were strongly support by it.
  • The second one were to continue caretaking for the people and peoples acccross all The Mainland and keep close watch at happening in Western Continent. Its planned forming small but elite taskforce from the best knights and clerics, ready to act if the need arises. It was proposed mild-conservative minded members and supplemented by moderate ones.
The talks heated up very quickly and sometimes turned in sporadic fights. Soon after full-scale war erupted and involved all members of the disintegrating Order.
