Session 11
After our adventurers reassure Triandra that they will protect her, Wild and Alkinn take up the burden of carrying the huge flask stone that had been behind the sealed door. Slowly they make their way up the stairs and back through the destroyed cottage. With misty eyes, Triandra says her goodbyes to her fallen companions as Wild packs all the rations that the cottage had left. Hitches their horses up, the group starts to make their way back through the forest, taking a direct route to the city of Nore instead of taking a detour through Yolgst.
First day of traveling was quite interesting as the party, specifically Wild, noticed a large group of footprints on the ground. They were too large for a human and after some mind tracing, Wild could determine that they were orc footprints. The footprints seemed to lead the same direction the party was traveling. Concerned, knowing the city of Nore was ill equipped to defend themselves from ransacking orcs, the party hastened their pace, hoping to get there before the orcs. They set up camp next to a small stream knowing they couldn't make the trip in a day as much as they wanted to. As Wild took in their surroundings, their eyes catch something on the shoreline of the small stream. A large flower was aglow with a bright red light. Intrigued, the druid hesitantly approached the flower looking at it. They were in a trance and couldn't help themselves, picking the flower from the ground to keep. The trees around them started to move and make unnatural noises before attacking the group! Izen was the first to be picked up and tossed around while the other members fought smaller tree ents. Standing their ground, the party took out the ents, creating a large campfire from the remains.
Once everyone settled in, Lazarus was looking up at the stars. He spotted a strange light dancing in the sky. At first it seemed like a shooting star, but it started to get bigger and bigger. It was starting to fall from the sky! Before he could warn everyone, a blinding beam of light struck the earth, Startled, the rest of the party got up and prepared for a fight. bracing for what seemed like forever, a figure stepped out of the light. A large man greeted everyone; a floating skull next to him. Quickly, he asks everyone to lower their weapons as he means no harm for anyone. He introduces himself as TupTup, and Lazarus immediately recognizes the name as one of the high counsel members of the Wizards' Counsel, freezing in place knowing his past. TupTup states that he is there for two things. First, he asks what the situation was with the counsel encampment and why the party wants the Stone. Surprised that TupTup knew they had it in the first place, the party tensed again, Alkinn steps in front of Triandra, staring the man down. Izen however, reassure him that they mean no harm with the stone but needed it for something important. The second thing TupTup asks is where Triandra is. Alkinn stayed firmly in front of the young caster, keeping her lips locked. The others look taken aback that he wants her and begin questioning him, remembering the girls fear. Tup Tup reassures them that there would be no reason for harm as he explains that she is a very special case and that she doesn't have the best control over her magic. Hesitantly the group tells him she is safe. TupTup calls for her, and after a moment, the girl makes herself known. Triandra seems relieved and actually happy to see him, running to embracing him. They say their goodbyes but before Triandra leaves she sends a message to Lazarus, asking him to meet her at the city of talents. The two step back into the light and disappear. The next morning our adventures hurry toward the city of Nore. Noticing more prints of the orc raiding party, they were quite close. Pushing themselves, the party hastens their pace trying to catch up as fast as they can. They approached upon the raid in progress, rushing forward and clashing. An unusually large dwarf fought alongside the city protecting the entrance. After the orcs are defeated, the dwarf introduces himself as Tymus.
