Session 24
The party finally stumbles upon the long forgotten city under the mountain, and the first place that they head is the erupting forge in the middle of the whole city. It would seem like an easy task to traverse the city but because its so old multiple stalactites start to fall after making their way toward the forge, the party barely moves out of the way as the stalagmites fall to the ground. It takes about a hour journey to get to the forge, and when arriving there they are met with what seems to be a small dwarf with a beard of fire was sitting on a stool smoking a cigar near the entrance of the forge, calls for help can be heard echoing from within the forge. Everyone immediately questions the individual sitting down, and he introduces himself as Barghast. He Seems like a jolly fellow, but at the same time he seem menacing. He eventually tells the party that he has been sent there to kill them, but can only do that in the forge rather than outside of them. He says his goodbyes and it almost seems like he doesn't want to do what he has to do.
Bargast then tells the party he will see them again and then a pool of lava appears below him and with a menacing grin he melts into the ground. The party stands at the entrance of the forge not knowing what to do next, they try the door but to no avail its locked. Izen notices that there are statures of a sword and skull next to the door, there is also two what looked like missing voids of what would be statues standing next to the door. The party concludes that the skull represents a graveyard in the city and the sword represents a bastion in the city as well. The party decides to head toward the grave yard to investigate the door even more.
Dodging more stalactites getting to the grave yard some of the party is separated from the rest but with a little time they are able to get back together at the entrance of the grave yard. In the middle of the grave yard stood a large obsidian obelisk and around are countless headstones of fallen dwarves. On the far end of the grave yard a large metal statue of a dwarf stands. When walking in the premise of grave yard Alkinn notices there are countless evil spirits lurking around. Upon further investigation of the grave yard the Lazarus notices there is a lever on the back of the metal statue, and he notices that this statue seems more mechanical for a decoration. He asks the party about it and they all decide to go further with the mystery the lever must be thrown.
With the Lever pulled the stature suddenly comes to life as it tell the party to prepare for a fight. The sword of the stature become unsheathed and the autonomation lifts the sword and stabs it on the ground erupting a purple magic from it. Then as it does this skeleton start to uncover from the ground and pursue the party with what seems to be a vengeance. The party fights off the wave of skeletons coming out of the ground and a green light appears on one of the gems of the machine. Then the sword falls down on the ground once more. Giant skeletons appear! The Gian thrash the party around but the group is able to prevail, once defeated the sword raised up again and summon skeletal snakes. The snakes throw multiple spells at the party gain distance on them but the party retaliates with spells of their own! With the snakes defeated the machine tells the party to prepare for a large battle. The sword come down one more time, and on one of the fallen stalactites bones start to pile up from the fallen skeletons, the bones start to form into a giant skeleton dragon. The part faces this mighty foe, some are scared some are brave! The battle goes on and with the help of Tymus's giant strength by grappling the dragon the party succeeds in defeating this mighty foe. The statue stands and starts to walk towards the entrance of the forge.
