Session 26

The party makes their way to the forge of the city and ahead of them stand the two machines the party freed, the party asks the statues to open the door to the forge. With a hearty pull the doors of the forge slide open and yells of agony are heard inside. The party ventures forward to a scene of the king hung on a chain, above a vat of lava. He yells for help, Bargast sits below him with what seems to be a frown upon his face. Alkinn pleads to Bargast not to do what he is about to do, stammering can be heard from his voice as he struggles to tries not to speak about it. It seems as if he is resisting do try to attack the party. Nervously he says that he does not want to do it, but the deal he made with his brother has been made already. An idea comes up as he says that he doesn't have to do it at that moment, when suddenly a menacing voice is heard from the other side of the room, "You Know the Deal we made, Why haven't you done it already." Bargast shutters as Darpon appears from the other side of the room.

An argument breaks out as Darpon approaches, like before Darpon grabs his brother by the neck saying, "A fey that breaks a deal doesn't deserve to be a fey at all!", Darpon reaches his hand and places it on Bargast's chest and he rips an fiery magic from Bargast. He Drops Bargast and says, "Father should have choose a better suitor for this." Suddenly Darpon launches the fiery magic toward the king, as it hits the king he yells in pain as his whole body erupts in flame. Laughter is heard as Darpon vanishes, and the king grows and his skin blackens, his hair becomes fire and he becomes aggressive. The entrance to the forge collapses. Now the objective is not to save the king but get the crown from the what was king. A battle erupts as fire is expelled from the dead kings attack. Spells are thrown everywhere and the party is hurt as fire elementals fight alongside the dead king. 

Alkinn rushes in the battle to help Bargast, who is hanging on for dear life. The battle continues as the ground becomes lava after globs of lava a thrown, the group is nearly defeated, but not intime for the king to be destroyed by his wounds, the king explodes into fire and the crown is thrown to the ground. Alkinn swiftly picks the crown up as soon as Darpon appears Infront of her. Darpon Laughs as he says, "Well played, I suppose I will have better luck next time.". A rumbling is heard as a Coautl is seen clearing the entrance of the forge urging the party to leave. As the party swiftly helps Bargast up they rush out of the forge realizing that the large explosion was caving the whole city in. With swift skills dodging rocks the party is able to make it out of the city and into the maze where the entrance caves in behind them. After a bit more traveling the party finally sees the light of day after three days.
