Welcome to Satheal

Welcome to Sathel, a lush world home to The Basin, a bowl-like formation that houses humanity in their early tribal stages. The tribes are generally at ease with each other, though small conflicts do flare up from time-to-time.
A single day on Satheal takes up 24 standard hours, 12 hours of day, 12 of night. Dawn lasts from roughly hours 3 – 6, with full daytime lasting from hours 6 – 14. Dusk/twilight occurs at around hours 14 – 17. Seasonal changes are marginal, with the weather relatively temperate and stable, with no major drops or increases in temperature throughout an average year.
Dominating the world is the nightly occurrence of the , a deadly force of nature that blankets the world in darkness. Anything that touches the Mire is quickly killed, but it can be driven back by sources of light, making fire a critical tool of the Basin tribespeople. Each day, Sov, God of the Sun, brings light back to the world for humankind.
His power is weakening. The days grow shorter and shorter, and some worry that Sov will eventaully succumb to the Mire himself.
