Harmend
(a.k.a. Oniy)
The god of war and peace, there seems to be more disagreement among her followers than most. Harmend represents both values equally, as dichotomous as they appear. This is because they were the creation of the sister goddesses, Kayona and Ordoné.
The god’s followers recognize you can’t have peace without war, and vice versa. It is the ebb and flow of mankind, to strive for just one half would be unobtainable. Many will not seek out conflict, but they won’t shy away either, as it is a chance to bring peace.
The people of Krakira have had several names for this deity, but have settled on Oniy. She can be seen as a devil, or oni, or seen as one that brings harmony. Oni and –ony came together to make “Oniy.”
The two sisters saw how life and death were treated through their elders, and sought to rectify that. They never saw eye to eye on anything, but they put aside differences to create, just as their grandmother, Fabraja. With both chaos and order instilled into the creation, war and peace were brought into balance, and Harmend was born.
