Knights of the Scale

Mythology & Lore

Ordoné is most commonly depicted as a humanoid woman of great scale. Adorned with golden armor that is embellished throughout with blue sapphires, there is a presence to her that says to be on your best behavior. Her knightly appearance is further accented by her helmet. Being the most prominent feature to Ordoné, her helmet is the same gold that is shared throughout her armor with silver shielding the face. This piece, however, appears broken. For, what should have been a helmet that completely hides the face, the left side of the face is shattered. Revealing underneath, her left eye that flares as bright as the sun. She has markings below the eye that resemble that of the sun's rays. As for the right side, helmet still protecting and hiding her face, the face shield appears shattered, forming a crescent shape around her left eye. She is generally known to wield a longsword with a hilt that has a cross guard similar to that of a scale.
For Ordoné encompasses all of justice, civilization, balance, and law. The scales of justice must always be measured, keeping balance as best as possible. But sometimes, law is blind. Her symbol is the depiction of her eyes, one like the sun, and one that is no longer available. For the justice shall shine light on all that should be punishable. But, in order to enact that justice, you must also follow the laws rigidly. Which can feel blind, like walking through the world in the middle of the night, no light to aid you.
Ordoné and her core values have been somewhat construed with the high mages of Saturnal. In Krakira, there is a smaller subset of believers who refer to her as Balancebringer. They thank her for summoning the power in those capable to enact great changes to the rules of the world. Reviving those that have passed, communing with those on another plane or even the dead, as well as being able to see in to someone across the world, just to name a few powers. These people believe Balancebringer has come to "tip the scales" more in favor of man. Far too many otherworldly powers(or even powers of this world) threaten life on Saturnal. So Balancebringer gives the population a fighting chance.

Divine Origins

The goddess of law, Ordoné has a murky beginning. It's hard to trace her back to her origins. Some claim she was the embodiment of civilization that naturally occurred through peoples' want for a better life. Others say she is a government-made creation used to give precedent to those that enforce the laws she upholds. Whatever her making, Ordoné has become deeply rooted in the majority of society on Saturnal.

Tenets of Faith

Law - Rules are put in place for a reason, follow them for the greater good 
Civilization - Order would not exist if society chooses not to strip itself of its barbaric ways 
Order - Chaos brings unpredictability, which is impossible to protect against effectively 
Balance - No one power should ever have a ruling command, checks in balances should be set in place
