Ancilla

An Ancilla is a Vampire past their first century but not yet dead for 250 years. The aging of a quarter-millennium being the distinct mark of Elders. On the weeks before their raising to become an Ancilla, the Vampire in question has their assets assessed. At this point, the Ancilla are expected to hold about fifty Coin in reserve and possess Assets of up to a full one-hundred Coin in value. Those that fall below that Assessment are granted additional assets, and those who are above are taxed. In both cases the additional assets and the taxation is neither more than twenty percent of the excess or loss. This standard holds for all factions: Native, Immigrant and Unclaimed, much to many Elder's annoyance.
