S11. It's Not Your Time To Shrine Report
General Summary
Marpenoth
The party returns to Phandalin, post-haste, and arrive late at night. They go to the Inn to get rooms and find all the rooms are taken except Sir Nesbit's that has been used by Giralde, his valet. Jareth and Torgan, still feeling down from their tragic defeat, retire to the nearby outskirts of town to camp for the night. In the morning, they gather back in the Inn for breakfast and to discuss their options and plans.
Sir Nesbit heads first thing in the morning to Lionshield Costers to buy a sword and have it engraved "Bright Song" and have his shield engraved with the names Deepo, Ethyl, and Ralzik. On his way back to the Inn, he is met with the caravan from Neverwinter with his two servants bringing him a letter and mercenary aide.
Sir Nesbit's Followers: Mordaina and Flerm came back to Phandalin bringing the others.
The letter reads:
Some of the Mercs arriving:
and Sister Gareale, Acolyte of Tymora, returns as well (with Kanenenas, too).
Ozus has stayed the night in the Inn and in the morning, posts a WANTED posted for Ralzik in the taproom.
Toblen tells the tale of rumors of treasure at the Shrine after hearing that this is where they were defeated.
Sir Nesbit got Wester to pay for the Mountain's Toe Goldmine quest, and then got in a conflict with him after showing him the letter from Neverember. Wester handed backl the letter under the door, but now it showed an actual deed to the ruins of Tresendar Manor.
A classicly old, bearded wizard named Wilmanric has opened a Magic Shop in town. One thing he sells is Wizard Spray, single use Dragon Breath in a spray can. He also offers to Identify Magic Items for cheap (10 GP).
The party, with two new members, decide to re-explore the cellars under the Manor, and hopefully rid it of the creature lurking there, and perhaps find the lost sword. They meet the critter again, and upon threatening it, they find themselves beset upon by a floating one-eyed monster with eyestalks.

The letter reads:
To the Knight Sir Nesbit and the Bard Bright Song we are grieved to hear of the trouble of a dragon in the area. There is little to be done from here on that, but please advise me on any developments. I am frustrated upon hearing that Iarno has not been in charge of the town’s peacekeepers and has been run off or killed by those Red Cloaks. Frustrated indeed. Please return word to me if you find him, or his remains.
However, to your whole crew, let me commend you and impart that you have earned favor with the Lord Protector and your continued loyalty will be met with continued support.
Sir Nesbit, I grant you claim on a specific plot of land to add to your family holdings, though I leave it to you to find your own ways to improve it.
Bright Song you have proven yourself to be a good and loyal subject. For you, a coffer of 300 GP.
I am unfortunately unable to spare any soldiers to assist the people of Phandalin, however, I have help recruitment to bolster local forces, and I leave it to you and the town to arrange for their payment for services rendered. Hence, the number of brave adventurers that bear this letter, and coffer for Bright Song, and to assist you in these troubled times.
Good luck and may fortune smile upon you.

Toblen tells the tale of rumors of treasure at the Shrine after hearing that this is where they were defeated.
Five miles south of Conyberry is a shrine dedicated to Savras, god of divination and fate. Many years ago, the shrine’s priest-seers foresaw a barbarian attack on Conyberry, giving the townsfolk time to escape. Not all the townsfolk chose to flee, but those who did went to the shrine and brought much of the town’s gold with them.
The barbarians eventually tracked the townsfolk to the shrine, besieged it, and slaughtered everyone inside. In the days leading up to this final battle, the priest-seers helped the townsfolk hide their gold. They say the barbarian horde never found any treasure after sacking that shrine. So some think it’s still hidden there. Others think it never existed.
Over the years, many other creatures have occupied the shrine. So surely if there was something to be found there, they found it already. Not a few adventurers have gone off to find the lost treasure, but they never returned. So maybe they found it, but more likely the found their untimely end at the hands of whoever the current residents were.
Sir Nesbit got Wester to pay for the Mountain's Toe Goldmine quest, and then got in a conflict with him after showing him the letter from Neverember. Wester handed backl the letter under the door, but now it showed an actual deed to the ruins of Tresendar Manor.
