S9. Countryside Carousing
General Summary
Marpenoth 17 - 19
Ethyl's Journal: After meeting with the manticores our heroes continued on to the Toe gold mine. They were hoping for a song and dance and were met with watchful wariness by some wererats who refused to share their detachment of dwarves and drink kept locked tight below.
Hoping to make a trade the party has set out to clear out a shrine and restore the rats ritual grounds, an old temple in the hills up north. Distracted by some livestock the party ended up at a burned out ranch instead. With bodies to bury and more yet to fall the group has uncovered a band of ornery orcs non to happy to have their house party disturbed.
Other Notes: Marpenoth 18
Ethyl Benzoin - The party's meth dealer, Ethyl continued to cook, distill, and other stuff, but has also been more active with magicly created spikey armor bits, and other things...he managed to kill an orc without ever attacking it.
Bright Song - Negotiated with the wererat gang leader to leave the mine if the party clears out the Shrine of Savras of orcs and such. Charming his way in, he was luckily able to walk his way back out after seeing he was fiendishly outnumbered by nearly a dozen wererats. Oh, and yep...he was TKO'd...again...
Torgan Wyrmsfoot - getting his "drake warden" on played the major ranged warrior asset of the party, taking out orcs just before they reach their targets. And he's also making the moves with sweet talking the cows and horses...
Sir Nesbit - is tackling the big guys, practically ignoring that he is operating at half the health he would normally be at, and charging into the fray heroicly anyway.
Jareth Anshar - Trying new things, getting into the monk groove...and having side convos with Don-Jon...perhaps we shall soon see what this beastly monk has up his proverbial sleeves...
Rälzik - the new kid on the block tried to negotiate with the wererats as well, offering mantcore spikes for one or more of the dwarves. Discussing some of the deal in Thieves' Cant (to establish he was a kindred soul) they still "seemed to consider it" and also seemed to have kept the spikes after the party left.
(Sir Nesbit:) Side note, sir Nesbit is also looking into being a first time home buyer.
Interesting Revelation: Deepo's "Rattie" was dispatched in a cloud of dust...similar to how the Sugar Glider (Sila?) vanished when the rat killed it...
