Personal history
One day when Reverie was about six years old, a circus appeared from nowhere on the outskirts of his hometown. It appeared without warning. It was simply there, when yesterday it was not. The sign outside read "Opens at Nightfall. Closes at Dawn." Over the course of the next four evenings, Reverie is introduced to the wonders of magic. After that pivotal moment, he was obsessed and knew he would spend the rest of his life fervently learning all that he could about magic.
Upon seeing the unbridled joy that magic inspired in Reverie, his splinter helped him begin his studies and laid the foundation for Reverie's wizardry.
During his studies, Reverie came across information on a place/school "for the intrigued" where it was said that only the best and brightest minds came together to learn and study in the wonders of the world. Reverie had never felt such a calling to one place and knew he had to go. With the guidance of *his splinter*, he studied intently for years until he reached the admissions age of 14 for *insert university name here*.
University was everything Reverie hoped it would be and more. He was surrounded, for the first time, around peers and people with the same interest as him.

Reverie detests when people make fun of others for not knowing things or not being "smart". He knows that he had to work hard to learn all that he did and he was privileged to have his splinter to assist him whereas others don't have that same opportunity. He understands that others' have passions that aren't intellectual and that diversity is what makes the world so beautiful. Like the different tents at The Carnival, they individually come together to create a beautiful experience.
He does not like people touching his spellbook (if he has a phsyical one). Few things make Reverie angry, but this is a quick way to do it.

Reverie is a lover of knowledge. He is not the most physically adept person, but finds his strength and power in learning. He loves to understand the mechanisms of magic and machines, as well as the motivations behind people. He feels that the more he is able to reason with his mind, the better he can make up for his lack of phsyical strength.

Reverie loves to be barefoot and you'll find him kicking off his shoes when reading at the library or walking through the grassy lawn on his way to and from class.
He loves to touch things. He wants to know how they feel, how they work. He desperately wishes he had x-ray vision and could look through things to see their inner mechanisms.

Reverie acquired a Truthwatcher Mistsplinter at some point during his childhood. He is not precisely sure when Glis came into his life, but he was sure of Glis' presence after the Witchlight Carnival. Glis is a prismatic reflection of light, as though shined through stained glass.
Mannerisms
Reverie regularly speaks with Glis telepathically. It can be apparent via his facial expressions and random noises of response that he is having a silent conversation.
