Airva the Ancient

Deep within the mountains north of Scardona, a mountain held strong. It was a bastion for the lands, the barrier between the creatures living above and the dragons imprisoned far below the earth. However, one dragon refused to be held captive, and formed a plan to not only escape but enact vengeance against those who would dare to entrap her. Using dark magics and sciences stolen from Mind Flayers, she began to corrupt the minds of all the dragons trapped beneath the mountains. Eventually her corruption would spread through the roots of the earth into the ear of a paladin. The paladin, seeking to eradicate all evil, was easy to bend and twist to serving her will. And with a fateful blow to the mountain's surface, Airva and her corrupted brood where free.
