Dáotára

The Dáotára are a mutation that occured from the Werewolf and Vampire population (Pèokáme). The mutated gene is called the "immunity gene", which enables them to hol werewold as well as vampire and warlock powers if the correct conditions are met. They can only survive in Degheigh, because they have a demonic core and are considered a native race of that world.   The corrupted angelic blood is also part of the immunity mutation. The blood of the Dáotára can act like a drug if a Vampire drinks it.

Powers

To aquire the powers of a Vampire and / or a Werewolf, they need to drink a significant amount of their blood. Afterwards, they need to put effort in to train and control their gained powers. Only with long time of training they can get to a level of skill with their abilities like a born Vampire or Werewolf would be.   To aquire a Warlocks magic, a dying Warlock needs to willingly hand over to a Dáotára through physical contact. These powers also need to be practiced. The Dáotára is merely given the life energy and therefore magic potential, not the powers in itself.

History

The Dáotára mutation (consistent blood) was discovered around the year 800, but people that had it were seen as outsiders and freaks. That lead to them retreating from society, living among themselves in small settlements. Around the year 1000 the Hybrid society had grown a lot and they started struggling for leadership in their settlements. So the families started fighting each other, the winner raising up in rank until an order was established; then the leading families battled among each other to expand their field of influence. Over multiple years of internal conflict, twelve hybrid territories developed, each with their leading family. Additionally to their internal conflicts, the Hybrids started to fight the Werewolf and Vampire clans and finally even rivaled the Warlocks for their world dominating position In the course of that, the Werewolf and Vampire populations slowly grew smaller and smaller, until today, where there are only very few clans here and there left. Today the Hybrids are the leading political and economical race, even though the Warlocks are almost equally powerful due to their monopoly on magic. A few years ago, the Purge happened, the Empire rose up and forced the the leading families of the world to work together. The countries did not merge, like the Empire wanted, but the Forced Unification happened and the Unified Council was created, in which all Dáotára leaders come together and discuss global issues.
