Geothermal activity, volcanoes and geysers

According to some crackpots, below the rocky "crust" of the earth, lies essentially an ocean of magma that continental plates float on. Ridiculous! Anyway these pro-mantle crackpots say these mythical “geothermal forces” create volcanoes and hot springs.
Everyone knows geothermal anomalies were created in the chaos of the First Unmaking when rogue elementals fought each other everywhere.
Volcanoes are the result of where fire elementals and earth elementals fought protracted battles. Hot springs are where fire elementals and water elementals fought protracted battles.  Geysers are where fire, earth, and water battled together. .
