King Cezary Linijka the Quiet

King Cezary Linijka, III (a.k.a. the Quiet)

King Cezary was in many ways the polar opposite of his father King Henryk II Linijka the Orator, a man he never knew particular well.   King Cezary a shrewd manager, capable warrior and clever tactician. He was quite introverted and more than a little socially awkward and put his foot in his mouth a lot.   Cezary became king at a young age, relying on his regent to handle diplomacy even after he came of age. He deliberately sought a woman known to be very diplomatic as his bride.   Immediately after their wedding, Cezary named his wife chancellor and she handled most of the "face" aspects of rulership for decades until she died.   While not particularly popular in life, he was well regarded after his death. His decades of rule were a very prosperous time in Fumaya. Fumaya faced few major crises and Cezary built up a sizeable treasury with very careful management without overly taxing the people. He also quietly coordinated his vassals, knights, and free lance adventurers well, so much so that Fumaya was not just prosperous during this time but relatively safe from brigands, monsters, orcs, and the like.   It was also during his reign that settlers started creating homesteads in what would one day be called the County of Polnoc. This represents Fumaya's only real territorial expansion since the nation's founding.   He had two daughters (1643 and 1650)and a son (1647).
