A second generation dragon blood, he was the first born son of Lord Maddock Numaness the Dragon Blood and Lady Morgana Kovenoth the Transmuter.
Maddock III embodied a lot of negative Numaness stereotypes.  He was a very powerful sorcerer but he was a poor leader, viewing managerial roles as beneath him and managing to alienate his subjects and peers alike with his cold disdain.
