Object Hexing

Object Cursing can be learned by a theurgist with Hexing ●●● and divine Crafts ●●● for three experience points.   To cast object cursing, the theurgist must use a holy symbol crafted from materials stolen or won from an enemy.   Object Cursing makes an object worse at whatever it is supposed to.   This is a specialized form of Hexing, and can only be cast "loudly" though it is possible to curse an item while no living person is around to hear you curse it. The curses lasts about about an hour per success rolled.

Mundane Items

If it's a non-magical the item has +1 difficulty associated with it. Attack rolls with weapons are at +1 difficulty, using a tool raises the difficulty by +1, and armor soaks at +1 difficulty.   Unless someone has supernatural ability to detect magic or curses, this is very difficult to detect. Roll Perception + relevant ability to see if the character notices. Perception + Melee if its a curse, Perception + Craft if its a cursed tool, or Perception + Ride to notice to something is off with your wagon.   Difficulty 9 to detect something is off if the character has no reason to suspect they have a cursed item. Difficulty 7 if the character reasonably suspects this.

Magical Items

An temporary item enhancement from Crafts or an arcane enchantment spell is wiped out immediately as long as the Object Hexer scores at least one success.   Permanent magical items have their enchantments temporarily negated exactly as Crafts ●●● but in reverse. One successes knocks off a -1 difficulty modifier and three successes knocks off a -3 difficulty modifier.   If a magic weapon is enchanted to enhance accuracy and damage, an Object Hex will affect both and even a single success will remove a +1 bonus die.   A magical item cannot be hexed below +0, in otherwords, a magic sword can not be turned into a +1 difficulty sword.   Magic item negation lasts for an hour per success rolled.

Resisting Object Cursing

Most objects cannot resist a hex being placed on them. It is possible for a person carrying an item to resist the Object Curse if they are aware that the object they are holding is being cursed.   The Willpower roll is difficulty 7 for a treasured possession (armor is always considered a treasured possession), difficulty 8 for an ordinary possession, and difficulty 6 for something the possessor crafted herself.   Willpower successes cancel out attacker successes on a one-for-one basis just like resisting a personal hex.

Cleansing a Cursed Item

Purification ●●● will remove an object curse if specfically cast on the item and it only needs one success to remove the entire curse.   Dispel Magic will remove a curse from a mundane item but does noting when cast at a magical item that has been temporarily negated with Object Cursing. In fact, it is rumored that trying this metaphysical contradiction can create longer lasting curses or other random effects.
