Zegdielne Favored Soul of Korus
Zegdielne was a favored soul of Korus who has passed into legend, as the spiritual founding mother of the modern Zegdelian gnomes.
so concrete details of her life are not particularly well known. It was clear she lived and died in the Red Era, but it is not clear if she was a figure in the early Red Era or the late Red Era.
Zegdielne had two core values she preached about. She believed that excessive civilization had extinguished a vital spark in gnomekind that was lost and urged a return to nature.
She also believed that gnomes were badly mistreated by humans. During the Red Era, gnomes were often enslaved by humans or sometimes elves. Even when gnomes were not enslaved, they were often clearly second class citizens in the lands they occupied.
Zegdielne recognized that not all humans were bad, but she still advocated gnomes making a peaceful separation from humanity.
Zegdielne was a reindeer herder and a reindeer rider. Some tales say she was born to gnomish reindeer herders and others say that Zegdielne was the first gnome to domesticate reindeer.
She led a large group of her followers north into the wilderness to live in the full embrace of the god Korus so they could return to nature and peacefully separte themselves from the other races, essentially creating the Zegdelian gnomes.
