Brumbarr, Peak of Mountains, God of the Earth

Brumbarr is the god of artifice, lord of the mountains and all that lies underground. Blacksmiths, miners and under-ground races are the main followers of this touchy god. His anger can create earthquakes, landslides and even blow up volcanoes. A great king of the past is said to have created a gigantic flying castle only to be out of Brumbarr's reach.
Brumbarr is the main deity worshiped by the dwarves, a stern but fair judge, he embodies strength and will. He inspires all artifact creations and constantly tries to push his he worshipers to improve themselves, cultivating their skills, enticing them to express themselves in all forms of art and intellectual works, trying to blunt their pride and isolationist tendencies.
“Every blow of the hammer on the anvil, every fire lit in the forge, is a step in a journey that was sent to me by Brumbarr himself. It is not work. It is a challenge to achieve greatness. "

  • Brumbarr was one of the Heroes who defeated the Ancient Myths, before rising to divinity he was a blacksmith and a fighter, whose true origin and race have been lost over time, we only remember that he joined the heroes to challenge the yoke of the Ancients in the moment of greatest danger. After numerous defeats the group of heroes despaired of being able to find a way to defeat the creatures of the Myth, when they came into possession of some legendary artifacts it was thanks to Brumbarr that they were able to learn the use, which allowed them to defeat the terrible Dagon.

During the long war to finally free Valenor from the influences of the Outsiders, Brumbarr made many weapons and armor to equip the heroes and their followers. Of many of them all traces have been lost, the few remaining are relics for the cult of Brumbarr. Even today many adventurers, convinced by reading some chronicles and old stories still handed down, wander the world in search of the legendary Brumbarr Artifacts.

Some chronicles narrate that as a mortal, Brumbarr used to explore caves and mountains in search of rare and precious minerals and metals, this has given rise to the belief that, as a deity, he hid metals, gems and other rare materials only to be found by those talented faithful who follow his path.

Brumbarr is often depicted as an imposing figure, frequently carrying a huge hammer, but with harmonious features, with a short, well-groomed beard. He curly hair, deep black eyes that reflect a vivid intelligence.

Being a deity often associated with combat, many statues portray him in armor and in the act of defeating some type of creature. The Dwarves who have taken him as their main deity tend to portray him as one of their own and several clans go so far as to make him wear their own insignia.

Brumbarr is a free spirit and eclectic, some claim to have met him, in some tavern (renowned and famous for some kind of alcoholic drink, especially beer), other young artists or talented artisans claim to have been approached by a stranger who he has given them advice and inspiration. Still others have found a stranger in their forges who carefully studied some of their creations, often this stranger complimented them before disappearing as he had appeared; in other cases, when disappointed with the workmanship, he turned the forge upside down.

Brumbarr is said to be attracted and sensitive to feminine charm, it is said that he introduced himself to beautiful girls, dedicating to them odes, poems and sonatas in their honor. The vulgate wants the fruit of these encounters to be left in front of the doors of the temples dedicated to him and to these orphaned children being given the name of "Sons of Brumbarr". These orphans are then directed to artistic professions or sent to apprenticeships with guilds or famous artisans.
