Corsair of Inthanis

Organization History

The Inthanis Corsair Band is one of the most notorious and feared in the region. They are known for their navigational and combat skills, as well as their complete lack of scruples. Their reputation precedes them wherever they go, and nearby ports and cities often see them as a threat.

The gang was founded by an infamous privateer named Razak the Black, who began gathering sailors and adventurers willing to sail the high seas to plunder ships and ports.

As the Darkness enveloped the island of Inthanis, the remaining Corsairs on the island were hit hard. Most of them, being used to life on the sea, were not ready to face the Darkness and many mutated or fell prey to the nightmares and dark creatures that invaded the island.

However, some of the Corsairs of Inthanis managed to escape to safety aboard their ships and leave the island before it was completely engulfed in Darkness. These privateers sought refuge along the eastern coasts and in the archipelago of Narwal Island, where they tried to rebuild their lives.

Actual Situation

The Corsair band of Inthanis is mostly made up of humans, but there are also some non-human creatures who have joined the band, such as water orcs and dwarves. They don't care about alliances or friendships, and attack anyone in their path. However, they are known to keep their word, and often keep deals with other pirate gangs or local lords.

Today, the Corsairs of Inthanis are a company of pirates and mercenaries feared throughout the eastern seas. It is said that they are still looking for a way to save the island and their companions trapped in the Darkness, but many doubt that this is true; it's more likely that they just want to recover their abandoned treasures to escape the darkness. Either way, they are sworn to avenge their fallen comrades and to protect those threatened by the Darkness and its dark creatures.

Inthanis Corsairs are renowned for their fast and deadly vessels, equipped with powerful cannons and firearms. They are also skilled in hand-to-hand combat, using weapons such as swords, daggers, and axes. Their navigational skills are second to none, and they are often able to avoid even the most experienced pirate hunters.

In addition to their reputation as bandits of the seas, the Corsairs of Inthanis are also known for their skills in espionage and assassination. They are often hired by nobles and wealthy merchants to carry out clandestine missions, such as assassinating political rivals or stealing secret information.

Many of them went on to work as mercenaries, pirates or sailors for other kingdoms and port cities. Some tried to mount relief expeditions to try and save their remaining comrades on the island, but most of these expeditions failed due to the strength of the Darkness.

Notable Members

The Inthanis Corsairs have a hierarchical organization, with Razak the Black as the unchallenged leader. Under him are several captains, each of whom is in control of a pirate squad and one or more ships. These captains are notable for their seafaring skills, cunning, and ruthlessness in battle.

One of their captains is a man named Zoltan, known for his ruthlessness and fighting prowess. He is said to have in his crew a powerful sorcerer, who is able to summon dark creatures from the deep waters of the ocean to attack enemy ships.

Locations & Resources

Their main base was on the lost island of Inthanis, where they lived in a fortified settlement. There were training grounds, ship repair facilities and a base from which they planned their actions.

Currently, Corsair ships hide in small islands or storm small ports. Inhabitants of occupied islands or ports are forced to serve the corsairs and provide them with supplies and men for their fleet. Those who refuse to cooperate suffer brutal reprisals.

It is said that while they have lost their huge treasure of the Isle of Inthanis, they possess other hidden treasures, amassed through their many illegal activities.
