Gharuk, the Raging, God of Fire

He is the god of fire and passions, of strength and revenge, adored all over the world but idolized by the major elements of organized crime, by the avengers and by the orcs to whom they dedicate all their raids and expeditions. Furthermore, arsonists who see fire as their element adore Gharuk as their inspiration and consider themselves his favorite children.

It is said that all people who are carried away by anger "Follow the way of Gharuk", and many violent warriors worship Gharuk for his dogma of strength.

He is a fickle and changeable god as changeable are the flames his mood and his will change and change for no apparent reason but the most important priests know well what his changes are linked to by reading among the sacred flames in the major temple to him. dedicated.

His own priests bear the traces of his changes in mood, exposed to the flames and their mutability that affect their bodies, leaving indelible scars, when their god is not happy or satisfied with their actions. Nobody can really be safe near open flames, anyone who works near a fire knows some prayers in Gharuk, if only for their own safety, the other Gods aware of the danger, turn a blind eye in these cases.

Gharuk is also called "One Eye" as he lost an eye in battles against The Ancient Myths.

Gharuk is constantly dissatisfied with his followers and in general with the living who populate Valenor because, since the time of the Ancient Gods when everyone bowed to the oppression of the priests, he decided that the living were only weak creatures who continually needed heroes to be saved.

Since the fall of the Ancient Gods, fearing a future return and even more convinced by the arrival of the Darkness, Gharuk has always tested his followers in order to strengthen them and make them better and stronger, to face future threats.

Unlike other deities, Gharuk rewards individuals, not groups or communities. Rewards the strength, magical power or charisma of an individual, recognizing the right to excel over others, the social position of an individual is not linked to wealth or birthright, anyone can improve his social position by proving his own capacity.

Leaders are those who have the ability to impose themselves and have a duty to lead others; the weak are seen as nothing more than supports for those who command them.

For Gharuk only the strongest should procreate, to have each generation stronger than the previous one. For Gharuk, polygamy is the best way to guarantee these goals, regardless of whether you are male or female, the higher you are in the social position, the more you are entitled to have multiple wives or husbands.

Newborns judged by priests as too weak or unsuitable are abandoned and ostracized.
