Few peoples are as strongly believers as the Ugruk Orcs. Religion permeates the everyday life of these people, especially the unshakable faith in Gharuk is reflected in a series of habits that we could define as superstitious, for example a very faithful Ugruk will never put out a fire. This ugly superstition has been the cause of many misfortunes and has been made clear several times by the priests of Gharuk themselves that putting out a fire is not an insult to the deity.
Another curious belief is that sprinkling one's body with ash cures one's illness; without the intervention of a Gharuk cleric to perform the correct rituals and cast the spells, the ash itself has no healing power.
It is interesting to note that in recent years a new cult (defined as heretical by many of the Ugruk) is taking hold: the Cult of Iron. Practiced mostly by young warriors, the Cult of Iron believes that strength in combat and violence are the true basis of Gharuk's teachings; the faithful who follow this path often give in to anger and violence, armed and covered in metal armor from head to toe, they are considered a public danger.
