The rising of the Thalassa cult

The stretch of sea between the Alfan coast and the Empire takes the name of the "Sea of Thalassa" following the actions of an Avatar of Thalassa who blocked all navigation in this area for over a decade.

To appease the wrath of the goddess, the priests of the maritime cities institute the ceremony of the "Marriage of the Sea" in which every year a nobleman renews his promises of loyalty to the goddess.
