As one might imagine, there are countless pidgin languages bridging gaps between tongues as well as thieves’ cants and regional dialects for each. One is safe to assume there are dozens of other languages not listed here spoken by small populations in each territory and city-state. There is also "Ilish," a broad term used to describe all the regional languages of the Ilians from the Western Territories. However, in the current timeframe that language is spoken only by Western natives and not by anyone native to the Eastern world.
Storyteller's note: Neither the languages nor the cultures listed above should be taken literally. Hiran is not literally Hindi or Thai, it's just "inspired by" the two; similarly, the people of Alman are not ethnically or
culturally German or Russian. These inspirations are used as a convenient way of mentally separating different languages and cultures in Qarna.
