The Hall of Souls
Located deep within the mountains at the heart of Veilmist Isle, sprouting from a lake situated in a valley are four towers of pale lavender stone, so pale as to confuse the mind. From these towers springs a bridge leading towards the delicate curves of the Hall of Souls itself. Within its boundless corridors sits the Council of Souls, consisting of Alythe, Goddess of Death and Creation, Aranion, The mantle of Creation, and Myrith, Goddess of the Arcane. It is through here that all souls pass on their journey to the next life. When they come before the council the other Divine and Unbound are given the chance to lay their claim against the soul of the deceased. If that does not occur then the soul is judged for its actions in life and determined what kind of afterlife it will receive.
Purpose / Function
It serves as a physical point of crossing between the realms of the living and dead, as well as the Divine and Unbound planes. Mortals may petition the council directly within the walls of the Hall of Souls, and it is from the hall that the original Soul Hunters were given their task.
Design
The sprawling expanse of the Council Hall looks far bigger than the building housing it would suggest, though due to the nature of Veilmist Isle, it's hardly the strangest thing you will see. A black rug runs the length of the hall from the massive double doors all the way to the three chairs of the Council of Souls. If one were to look down at the rug as they walked, which would be quite rude in the presence of the Divine but if one were too regardless, they might see dots of white and orange that could easily be stars, though that would be impossible they might think. It is then that they would tend to notice the three moons of Seccos drifting in their heavenly orbits and the observer would realize that they are looking out over the mortal plane as Myrith might choose to view it.
