Constance's Blades
Constance usually carries at least one or two retractable, concealed, steel blades strapped to her person, either in her boots if she's wearing them, or somewhere along her leg in an area that is quickly accessible to her but not visable to any attackers.
Sometimes, she wears special tactical pants with hidden flaps from which she can swiftly draw her knives. Other times, she securely tucks them into a garter under her skirt.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The handle is sleek but ergonomic with a grip strip. A special lever pops the blade out with a swift flick of the finger. A person who is unfamiliar with the knives may not be able to whip them out as quick as a person who practices with them and utilizes them on a regular basis such as Constance. If one is not careful, they may get a nasty gash or even slice off their finger if they open the blade incorrectly.
Manufacturing process
W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. creates many of their own weapons in the lab, formulating prototypes and testing gadgets for maximum effeciency. These knives, though they may appear to fall on the lower-tech side of things, are highly advanced. The handle is shorter than the blade, yet the entire blade can be concealed within it due to its retractable feature. Its ergonomic shape, grip, and overall design choice makes it quite the handy tool for any Operative.
Significance
Constance appreciates her blades and many think they are somewhat a security blanket. Even if she doesn't end up needing to use them, she feels safer knowing they are there.
The blades often come in handy for more than just a tool for combat. They are useful for when she must cut herself out of a tight bind, or hack herself out of a sticky situation.
She also fiddles around with them sometimes and does fancy tricks when she is bored or waiting.
