Rise of the Buns Bakery

Purpose / Function

Baked goods are created and sold from this store front. The family that owns the shop lives upstairs.

Architecture

The building is constructed entirely of wood except for the stone hearth. The outer walls and the walls separating the main sections of the shop are white-washed.
The main floor of the shop is divided into into five different areas. There is a large kitchen with a hearth divided into six stone sections for baking their goods. Just off the kitchen is a small storage area. There is also a stairway in the kitchen leading to the upper levels. There is a door to the main store and a door to the backyard, which has a root cellar.
The front room, the main store room, has two large display cabinets and a back closed shelf. In front of the display cabinets are two tables for customers. There is also a doorway to a private dinning area - not very large, but extremely comfortable.
The front doorway, off the main store room, is covered by a large awning. There are colorful flowers, bright but without a strong perfume, planted in front of the shop.
The second story is the main living space for the family. It includes the kitchen, dinning and living space - all open.
The third floor is divided into four sections. There is a room for the parents, a room for the children, a room for other adults, and a bathing chamber.
The fourth floor is attic storage space.

History

Faerverethor Solchon and Filegwen Solchil own the business. The bakery is famous for its current buns. The recipe has been passed down in the Solchon family for several generations.
Recently they have also begun being recognized for their sticky buns. Faerverethor's grandfather married the woman in town with the prized sticky buns. This recipe too was passed down to Faerverethor.
