Zadaith Wizard Tournament Ring
Purpose / Function
This building was constructed to house wizard sporting events.
Alterations
Periodically the building and it's shield are magically reinforced to ensure the protection of the audience.
Architecture
This building has a short stone wall around a center ring of grass. A stone floor precedes from the stone wall to the outer stone wall, which rises forty feet in the air. The outer wall has a short wood scaffolding at the top, which acts as a roof over the back portion of the stone flooring.
The stone floor is covered in wooden bleachers. The back bleachers are larger, more elaborate boxes with actual seating for nobility.
History
The amphitheater has been used for mock wizard battles, including re-enactments of historical battles. It's also used by students for staged battle exams. Upon rare occasions it has even been used for wizard duels, most famously the duel of Gilorneth Ladiel and her cousin Torthadis Ladiel. The tale is still told about town, The Duel of the Ladiels.
