Details
Oracles can be considered mages but their actions are more similar to Seers of old. Putting them apart from other wielders of the
Opus Stone is their deep respect for the tool and an even deeper mental connection with it. Oracle's claim to "hear" the stone's will rather than placing their own will into it. To achieve this ability many Oracles spend years meditating with their stones in perfect silence. When they finally hear the whispers of the stone they have achieved what is called the "Connection of Calliope".
Oracles are considered strange by most, however, those who truly recognize the power of the Oracle consider them wise sages. It's never too hard to recognize an Oracle as their practices and garb tend to set them apart. But people will still approach an Oracle for advice or the potentially true fortune from time to time. Most Oracles make a living providing advice to the highest buyer. While others are contracted to work on vessels, assisting spacefarers in navigating space. No matter what position an Oracle finds themselves in they always practice a balance of give and take with their stones.
