Hi Ki
A dice game which gets its name from two Shudani words, the beginning of hiku and the end of joki.
Before starting, two participants agree on the amount they will be betting each round and place their money on the table. The first player rolls a die, most commonly a six sided die. The second player then calls out hiku (under) or joki (over) and rolls the die again. If they correctly guess and then roll under or over the result of the first roll, they win the money. If they fail, the money goes to the first player. If the second die roll is exactly equal to the first die roll, the second player pays double to the first player. Regardless of the outcome, the two players switch roles for the next round.
Variations on the game sometimes include more than two people in the rotation, although only two people play each round. Other variations involve rolling more dice, or dice with more or less sides.
