Kuma
Physical Description
Kuma are the yokai descendants of powerful kodiaks, and still bear a strong resemblance to a more bipedal version of their ancestors. Most are 6 feet tall, or taller, and weigh between 200 and 300 pounds.Society
Kuma live in clans in mountainous or forested regions. Each clan functions independently for the most part, though they have been known to band together to serve common interests.Relations With Others
Kuma view themselves as the protectors of their territory, wherever that is. For them it is less about keeping the land for themselves and more of a moral obligation to defend the land from any who would mistreat it. This means that sharing their land is not necessarily impossible, but they will become fiercely defensive and territorial if they feel that the land is not being respected.Naming Conventions
Kuma traditionally do not assign formal names, but rather refer to each other by physical characteristics, habits, or well known accomplishments. Oftentimes a single Kuma is known by different names among different groups.Male or Female: Bright Face, Leaps and Bounds, Nimble Climber, Sharp Hunter, Strong Jaw, Swift Strikes
