Mithral
Mithral is the lifeblood of the Dwarves. They use it for everything, from armor to cutlery. They love it so much because it has many good properties, it is flexible, light, and can sustain a good beating.
The Dwarves of Arazar are the largest exporters of Mithral, but that isn't much. You see Dwarves don't let go of their Mithral easily, so while it may appear abundant in their halls the world sees far less of it.
Mithril veins run very deep into the world and great care must be taken when extracting it, as the vein gets closer to the core it becomes molten. If the molten layer is breached it often jets out massive streams of gas and liquid Mithral, many a Dwarf have fallen to accidents like this due to their greed. Dwarven scholars believe that the core is made up entirely of Mithral and the world feeds it to them because they are its children. For quite some time Dwarves have tried to harness extracting the liquid Mithral but they've been unable to get a steady stream flowing and in some Dwarven culture the extraction of liquid Mithral has been banned. Since Mithral is so difficult to mine the Dwarves have procured a large allotment of adamantine pickaxes, the hardness of the adamantine allows the Dwarves to continually mine without having to worry about replacing their pickaxe every hour like they used to when they still used steel pickaxes.
Some of the Dwarven civilizations have even improved their Mithral by creating an alloy using Sidverite gems. The new metal created is colored similar to a white-gold and exhibits exceptional magical alignment allowing for optimal enchantment.
