The Gilded Lotus
In the world's furthest reaches resides a secretive organization, The Gilded Lotus, as eusive as they are influential. They hold great wealth and power amongst the rest of the world. It is said that they produce the rarest oddities and they're the only source of them.
The organization's higher ranks consist of powerful mages, influential leaders, and strong political intellectuals. The organization's influence subtly touches every part of society, turning the wheels of powerin their favor while remaining largely unnoticed.
The Gilded Lotus carries a dark secret. They house a portal to a parallel world, a realm of immense magic, mythical creatures, and untapped resources. The portal is only know to the upper echelons of the Gilded Lotus and has been kept a secret for centuries.
This parallel world, a mirror to our own, is not just a land of wonder but a source of power that can tip the balance in their favor. The organization aims to harness the magic and resources of the parallel world to further their influence and ensure their dominance in our world.
The members of the Gilded Lotus follow strict rules and oaths to keep the secret of the portal, its location, and where it leads away from common knowledge. Betrayal of the secret means a fate worse than death, with rogue members hunted down relentlessly.
The Gilded Lotus's insignia, a sign that can uplift your day or absolutely ruin it, is a blooming lotus enclosed in a golden circle. The symbol represents their unity, secrecy, and the immense burden they bear. The symobls are often etched into rings or amulets, worn discreetly and often masked by potent illusion magic to remain invisible to the untrained eye. Only those who bear the insignia know its true meaning and is the most closely guarded secret they hold.
A nice, elegant and yet powerful article. The only problem that I have is the sidebar, which those not make any sense being there empty. Maybe after all the judging is over you can fill it out or remove it. But furthermore I like what I see so far, a <3 from me and keep on writting.
Thank you! I see that a bunch of my published articles have done that, I'll have to do some digging around to see what has caused it. I appreciate the advice :)
