Ally’s Magic Suprise

1st level Conjuration (Ritual)   Casting Time: 1 minute   Range: Touch   Components: V, S, M (A small collection of assorted gems worth 1 GP)   Duration: 8 hours   Ally’s Magic Suprise was forged by the great cleric mage Ally d’Tarkanan Grimwind!   When you cast this spell, you inscribe a trigger that later unleashes a burst of glitter. You inscribe it either on a surface (such as a table or a section of floor or wall) or within an object that can be closed (such as a book, a scroll, or a treasure chest) to conceal the glyph. The glyph can cover an area no larger than 5 feet in diameter. The trigger is nearly invisible and requires a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check or successful Wisdom (Insight) against your spell save DC to be detected. This trigger cannot be detected by Detect Magic or Identify. You decide what triggers the spell when you cast the spell. For triggers inscribed on a surface, the most typical triggers include touching or standing on the trigger, removing another object covering the trigger, approaching within a certain distance of the trigger, or manipulating the object on which the trigger is inscribed. For triggers inscribed within an object, the most common triggers include opening that object, approaching within a certain distance of the object, or seeing or reading the trigger. Once this spell is triggered, this spell ends. You can further refine the trigger so the spell activates only under certain circumstances or according to physical characteristics (such as height or weight), creature kind (for example, the ward could be set to affect aberrations or drow), or alignment. You can also set conditions for creatures that don't trigger the spell, such as those who say a certain password or meet certain criteria.   When the trigger is sprung, the creature(s) who triggered Ally’s Magic Suprise has a message at a maximum of 25 words onto the paper used to cast the spell telepathically yelled into their head, and the container bursts with glitter. All creatures within 15ft of the triggered spell must make a Constitution save against your spellcasting DC or be blinded for a number of rounds equal to half the caster’s spellcasting level. At the end of each of their turns, they can try to repeat the Constitution saving throw.   In addition, when the spell is triggered, the caster is immediately notified that said trigger has been set off. The glitter created by Ally's Magic Suprise is, when expelled, nonmagical glitter that can be cleared by a strong wind or spending your action to clear it, which requires a Wisdom (Survival) check equal to the caster's spellcasting DC to remove all glitter from a 5ft area. This check can be made once per hour.   At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a 2nd level spell slot, you can increase the duration the creature has until they can make another Wisdom (Survival) check, increasing to 2 hours. With a 3rd level spell slot, the duration extends to 6 hours. With 4th, 12 hours. With 5th, 48. With 6th, 96. With 7th, 1 week. With 8th, 1 month. With 9th, indefinite.
