Eternal Arcana Dynamo

"A magical power source capable of generating its own localized Weave field and powering whatever magic item you hook it up to. Just uh, don't break it." - Made by Hailey   Over the course of a short rest, you can attach the Eternal Arcana Dynamo to a magic item by pressing the dynamo against it for the full duration. Thereafter, the dynamo can't be removed unless it is detached as an action by the creature who attached it or the magic item is destroyed. Once attached, the magic item gains the following properties:
  • The magic item still functions within the area of an Antimagic Field or other similar effect.

  • The Eternal Arcana Dynamo has 50 charges. If the magic item the dynamo is attached to has an ability that uses charges, the magic item can use these charges in place of its own. The dynamo regains all spent charges on a long rest.


  • Destroying the Dynamo

    The Eternal Arcana Dynamo can be destroyed by damaging it directly. The dynamo has an AC of 27, 10 hit points, and a damage threshold equal to the number of charges it has expended (maximum of 50). When it is destroyed, it releases its remaining magic in an explosion that expands to fill a 60-foot-radius sphere centered on it.
    The magic item the dynamo is attached to is automatically destroyed. Each creature in the area must make a DC 21 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes an amount of force damage based on how far away it is from the point of origin, as shown in the attached table. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage
