You fire a wailing soul at your enemy. make a ranged attack against a creature, on a hit, the target takes 2d8 Necrotic damage and must succeed on a wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, that creatureis frightened until the end of it's next turn. For the duration of the effect, that creatures movement speed is halved until the end of it's turn.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot above 1st level.
