Midas Araca

Once a captain in the Eoin military, he was framed by one of his subordinates for attacking a superior officer and dishonorably discharged. From there, he sold himself into slavery and ended up being purchased by a master named Nerheus who trained fighters for the Juunko Holon in Niuus . Several years in, he was injured in one of his fights in the arena and instead of allowing the fight to continue to death, Taras Shiroko  had him pulled out and brought to the palace. There, he received treatment for his leg and made a full recovery. While recovering, he saw how delicate the emperor was (developing a significant infatuation with him) and wanted to protect the man who had saved his life. Once he was fully able to fight, he petitioned Taras to be allowed to join the royal guard. Taras agreed and Midas was soon able to ingratiate himself with the other guards. When the previous head guard retired, the others presented Midas as their nominee and Taras agreed. Midas has been serving as the head guard, and thus primary protector for Taras (after Erasure ) for one year.
