Srhalena

Srhalena is an ancient town on the western edge of Yzel. The buildings have been in perfect condition since before the first monarchy, almost 1000 years ago. History details the first inhabitants but only for three generations. After that, the entire town disappeared. Their belongings remained, but all people were gone, as though they had suddenly been whisked out of existence. Several decades later, a new group of people moved into the town and after three generations, they too disappeared. No building ever decayed or began to crumble. The cycle continued for centuries until a small symbol, an eight pointed star surrounded by a circle and wings, was found in the side of the town hall, burned into the rock wall. Some believe it's only graffiti, but others think it's the sign of an ancient god, believed to have died before the start of the world. The monarchy has sealed the area and forbidden people from entering, but some still do. Those that manage to return are never the same, as though they had become cracked mirror versions of the people they once were.
