Neverwinter
The City-State of Neverwinter was once a beautiful city of trade and progress, built around the blue and warm Neverwinter River that flows directly through its territory. It has however fallen on hard times in the past quarter-century. When the nearby Mount Hotenow erupted, much of the city-state was destroyed and the great, gaping chasm that split the city has still not been filled in today.
Once the third-largest of The Seven, Neverwinter's population is now almost half of what it once was and large sections of the city, particularly those around the chasm, lie empty. The once-flourishing Guild system has stumbled to a halt as many guild members have left the city for greener pastures.
Still the remaining citizens are hopeful that Neverwinter can be rebuilt to be something new and better than it was before. Perhaps it might even become the Magical Capital of the nation? The possibilities lend an excitement to this now-smaller city like never before.
