Session 22: The Radiant Keep-Bound

You relaxed at the mansion by raiding Theo’s new (older) liquor cabinet. Theo mixed some drinks (some better than others) while Thorns found an old hip flask with some especially rancid alcohol that got him right fucked up. Thorns broke the news to Joan about the reality of how his powers work. Fen tried to facilitate Theo talking about their emotions, who deflected to Thorns, who declared that his new pact with Tekkdekk offered him greater sights and goals than ever before. After Theo passed out from taking too many shots, the three of you awoke in a shared dream where you saw Morgoth clearly in front of you for the first time. He taunted you, Theo insulted him, and Fen demanded to be let go, which severed your connection to him in your sleep. In the morning, Joan revealed to you all that Loth had called for her to return as her handmaiden. She revealed to you that she had seen too much from other planes as Theo had pulled her to your material plane, which had caused her a sense of confusion and sprouting nonsense when you first met her. Torn between wanting to stay with you, her friends, and returning back to Loth, her mother-figure/deity of worship, Joan asked to stay with you for a while longer to which Loth agreed and said that Joan would return to her when you were able to “face the future with courage when the night was dire”. Fen remembered the deal with DogHog and how in order to return his soul to his body, you needed to defeat Morgoth to attain it. Stumped on how to actually reach the Underdark, Thorns reminded the party of your goal: to find Esoti at the Radient Keep and to get some answers. You departed Theo’s mansion early in the morning and set your path northward for the 2.5-day journey to the capital of Sabrandom.
