The monastic order of the Sterling Lake Clan is one of peaceful isolation, trade, guild artisanship and serenity. Comprising entirely of tabaxi, this tight-knit order follows tradition linked to their tribal unity, meditation, centering of self and true neutrality above all.
Way of the Open Hand
Masters of Ki
The Tabaxi of the Sterling Lake Clan are masters of martial combat, unarmed and otherwise, due to the deeply-rooted understanding of manipulation of one's ki engrained in their culture. One is hard-pressed to find a Sterling Lake Tabaxi with much of a temper, let alone any malicious intent. This clan is viewed not as the most unequivocally kind-natured, rather favoring minding their business and accepting that one's exist is whatever the individual wills it to be, so long as that existence is not a threat to another's.
Monks of Artisanship
Unlike many monastic orders which prefer true isolation and use their monasteries as private temples of practice, this monastic order chooses to function on a second front: Guild Artisanship. Producing high quality clothing, weaving, carving, masonry and apothecary. Known particularly for their expert weapon-making, this clan is a huge source of trade and commerce within Wildmane's Kingdom.
Faithful to the Crown
Though Sterling Lake Clan is no formally included in any militant or royal discussion, the monastery within the clan acknowledges their inclusion as part of The Crown's territory. The clan was around years prior to Felonius I's reign, but peaceful relations took precendent over war over territory.
