The Ethereal Gate made history 30 years ago in Senusha, becoming the first Crown-operated organization to be allowed permanent residence within the sacred Forest Expanse. This historical even, brokered by increasingly positive relations between Druids/Fey and Wildmane's Court.
The Horizon Walkers
Guardians of the Gateways
Horizon Walkers guard the world against threats that originate from other planes or that seek to ravage the mortal realm with otherworldly magic. They seek out planar portals and keep watch over them, venturing to the Inner Planes and the Outer Planes as needed to pursue their foes. These rangers are also friends to any forces in the multiverse — especially benevolent dragons, fey, and elementals — that work to preserve life and the order of the planes.
Territorial Ambiguity
An immensely important detail that has allowed The Horizon Walkers to make camp within the forest centers around two conditions: The first being that the rangers' main objective is protecting the forest and greater area (particularly the Kingdom) from extraplanar threats rather than anything currently residing in the forest. Secondly, the rangers have sworn an oath to never disrupt and aspect of the forest's sacred ecosystem, only making encampment at the minimum survival needs and not building any infrastructure that would disrupt balance.
Planar Warriors
With ethereal senses/magic, these rangers are adept at detecting, seeking out and disposing of planar portals meant to let dangerous creatures onto our plane and into Senushan land. Able to pass through planes in the blink of an eye, these rangers maintain their oath by choosing often to straddle two planes. These Ethereal Travelers are currently led by Elder Pathfinder Malumur Gamphal.
