Grixis (Grick-sis)

Grixis is the god of order. They are considered the only god of the "primordium", which is to say the only god that existed before creation. Although it is widely accepted that they did not create the world themself, they did guide it and bring forth civility among savage races.   They are, however, noted as creating the more conventional gods we know today, all of which follow their maker's intense desire for the world to follow an order, a routine.    Not much is known about them aside from that. In the beginning, cults that valued progress would pray to Grixis, and in return they would recieve wonderful gifts. As the new gods came and were involved with the world at large, Grixis decided to stand back, and let himself work tirelessly in the background to ensure that nothing would fall out of place.

The Ishango Bone

The Ishango Bone is one of the first ways of keeping track of time, uncovered in an abandoned village in Ranthasha. Although the language it is written in is an archaic form of Giant, it is still readable. A manuscript was found alongside the bone, beginning with a prayer to Grixis, and stating that this bone is a gift to the living from him, and that should a certain ritual be performed, the caster can manipulate time as he wishes. The ritual has been lost to time.

Holy Books & Codes

No books that have been found have been specifically written for Grixis, but many lawbooks have been dedicated to the deity.

Holidays

Grixis has 4 holy days per year, which align with the passing of the seasons. They are celebrated in myriad ways, ranging from parades and singing to solemn contemplation. The transition from the winter to the spring is the most holy, bringing forth a brand-new cycle.
