Personal history

Samson Kannas, 25, has spent his few years of peace traveling to the various small towns in the Kekeshia region where he spent his youth. Samson was born into his Goliath tribe that inhabited a small town known as Ganu-Mukena, where they were well known stonemasons. At the age of thirteen, Samson’s town was chosen to contribute youth to Kekeshia’s great coliseum, and Samson was the last chosen. Being the largest of the chosen, many feared Samson and what he could bring; however, he did not wish to fight and took the beatings with pride of being so stubbornly noble. For years this went on, and he grew strong and durable from the beatings. At 18, Samson was chosen for another fight to entertain a crowd; he was chosen not for combat, but for being the victim of assault. After 15 minutes of getting pummeled, a frequent member of the coliseum, Sabarn Varee, called for better entertainment and offered the idea of executing two laborers from his camp. To Samson’s woe, his parents, Barnas and Myrtle, were brought out along with Sabarn’s right hand man, and Samson’s childhood rival, Putar. Even though he spent the time leading up to it for his parents’ mercy, Putar, the crowd, and Sabarn refused to listen, and thus his parents were executed in front of him. What Sabarn and Putar were unaware of; however, is that Samson had been subject to several experiments in the past few years and this scene caused him to become enveloped in rage. Putar was severely wounded, and Sabarn was subject to the entirety of Samson’s rage resulting in his death. These experiments, shown in light purple runes across his scalp, gave him an incredible strength and durability which makes him nearly unstoppable. If it weren’t for the foreman stepping in and managing to hold Samson down, the damage was projected to be catastrophic. A year after, Samson was given a battle where he was offered his freedom. It wasn’t much of a battle as Samson continued to refuse, until his opponent had insulted his parents’ legacy and had triggered his rage once more. The foreman, who was familiar with the situation, stepped in immediately and ended the fight declaring Samson the victor to avoid any excessive damages. Since then, he has traveled and made as much money as he could so he could buy the means for survival along with teachings on what his runes could be. One scholar said they were runes in Giant depicting a “great wrath incoming”, but another said they were Primordial runs depicting “the coming of peace”. With no clear answer, Samson decided he would forge his own path and would use his strength to fight for his own wants and needs, but would never fight for no reason whatsoever.
