Lizardfolk

Lore   Lizardfolk are from the jungle continent of Primuvia, a dangerous place that is filled with their camps and the spawning pools they are born from. They defend this place with their very lives from outside intruders.   The appearances of these reptilian humanoids vary drastically in size and colour however they come in three main subspecies. These are Saurians, Skinks, and Kroxigors.  Saurians are the most common, often standing between 6 - 7 feet tall and being packed with reptilian muscles. They tend to be skilled warriors. Skinks are alot smaller standing about 5 feet tall and resembling geckos or chameleons. They are often very vibrant coming in a large range of colours, they are the most nimble of the subspecies acting as scouts and assassins for their tribes. Then there are Kroxigors these are large crocodilian humanoids standing up to 12 feet tall they are the heavy-hitting enforcers however they are more dim-witted than their cousins.   Lizardfolk gather into tribes. A typical tribe might have around 150 lizardfolk, with around 50 male, 50 female, and 50 hatchlings, Another might have only 30–60 adults, with half as many hatchlings and one-tenth that number in unhatched eggs. Each of the different subspecies have their own roles to fulfill within their tribes with only the most capable lizard folk leading the tribe. Their top priority is the preservation and nurture of their spawning pools that will foster the next generation.   Often violent to outsiders Lizardfolk have gotten into the habit of hunting and eating other native races of the jungles causing them to constantly be at odds with both the Yaun-ti and the apelings of the regions. Even Lizardfolk that leave the region and go out on their own struggle to resist this habit entirely. This has caused most races of the known world to be hostile toward them not that lizardfolk care about these paltry concerns.   There have been a few cases of Lizardfolk bonding with races outside their own, however, when this does happen they are fiercely loyal and caring for their companions.

Traits

  Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2.   Age. lizardfolk aged much the same and had a similar lifespan to humans—the oldest reached 80 years of age—it was rare for lizardfolk males to grow old as they usually died in combat long before.   Alignment. Lizardfolk defend their lands voraciously and can be very unpredictable they tend to be more chaotic alignments.   Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. You also have 30 feet of swim speed.   Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Reptilian Anatomy. Due to your evolution, you can hold your breath underwater for up to an hour.   Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic.   Subrace. You must choose a subrace between Skink, Saurian, Kroxigor.  

Skink

  Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.   Size. As a Skink you stand between 4-5 feet. Your size is medium   Skittish. Skinks have a more natural grasp on their surroundings and a strong awareness. You gain proficiency in the Perception skill.   Chamelion skin. Once per long rest you can make yourself invisible for up to 1 hour. You also naturally have an advantage on stealth checks in Jungle areas.    Quick Feet. Your swim and base walking speed increases to 35 feet.    

Saurian

  Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.   Size. Saurians stand around 5-7 feet your size is medium   Natural Bulk. Due to your immense natural bulk, you gain proficiency in the Athletics skill.   Saurian Resilience. Thanks to your durability, you have advantage on saving throws made against the effects of poison and have resistance to poison. You also have a natural AC of 13 + Dexterity modifier.   Predatory Fighter. Saurians do not require conventional weapons to be deadly - their jaws, claws, and muscular tail are all often used to inflict severe, sometimes fatal wounds. You can make an unarmed attack at an enemy that does 1d6 + your Strength modifier bludgeoning damage. You are considered proficient with this attack.   Single-minded. Saurus are bred purely for war, and care little about the paltry concerns of the warmbloods. Concepts such as greed or lust, while known, are utterly alien to these reptilian soldiers. For this reason, Saurus find it very difficult to build relationships with members of other races beyond those of convenience. Any charm or persuade checks targeting a Saurian are made at disadvantage. In addition, Saurus always roll at disadvantage when trying to charm or persuade.  

Kroxigor

  Ability Score Increase. your Strength score increases by 2, and your Intelligence score decreases by 2.   Size. Kroxigors around 8-12 feet &. Your size is Medium.   Bite Attack. Your fanged maw is a natural weapon, which you can use to make a bite attack. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + double your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. You are considered proficient in this attack.   Scaly Skin. Your body is covered in a thick set of scales that protect you from most physical attacks. You have a natural AC that is equal to 13 + your Constitution modifier.   Strong Physique. Due to the Kroxigors standing as heavy lifters within Lizardman society, they are able to carry more than most Lizardmen. Your carrying capacity is doubled.   Brute. You can wield oversized weapons (or Large weapons) as though you were a Large creature. You cannot wield light weapons.
