FFM3: Culinary Adventures
He did not understand, and that was very obvious to everyone in the room. The accident had been Merci's fault, some months back, but there Adam was. In all his five foot nine glory, the hybrid with an alarming skin condition was standing in the middle of a foreign kitchen-- and none of the cooks would take their eyes off him.
That, however, may have been the fact that his face, and most of his bared upper body, was covered in fish scales. Adam wasn't so sure, though, and thanked whatever deity was listening when Merci rescued him.
It turned out that Merci was only interested in the food part of his education, but they settled with learning in the comfort of home from then on, least they spend another afternoon running from one restaurant to the next trying to avoid angry cooks and flying knives.
