Blackrock Point
The most populated country in the world. Long ago many people moved here in order to mine for the invaluable minerals and metals in and around the Kraken Mountains. This lead to overpopulation and many cities and smaller mining towns popping up, with everyone looking to make a quick buck. Because of the overpopulation, the government has a hard time keeping a handle on crime in the country. The government and other private organizations have also been known to bribe other countries and individuals with rare metals and other materials, or at the very least sell them at a premium.

History
Formed in 582 at the split of Ferdur, Blackrock's leadership knew from the beginning what an advantage they would have due to the split. They had the Kraken Mines. From their perspective, they might as well have been crowned rulers of the planet. Since their inception Blackrock has been able to at least provide support to every way they have known about. Sometimes it has been proven they would assist multiple sides of a conflict, just to earn more.
Demography and Population
Blackrock Point is the most populated country in the world, likely overpopulated. For as populated as it is, there are not many children, likely because people know it's not the place to raise a family. The population is made up of mostly humans and dwarves, however there is a good amount of Orcs and Goblins in the areas with the greatest population such s the major cities or traditionally mining-focused areas.
Territories
Blackrock Point controls the entire top portion of the continent Ferdur. The land itself is mainly rock, which gets darker and darker as it stretches north. Though it is covered by several feet of snow, it is said the rock under the true northern tip of Blackrock Point is so black its like staring into an endless nightmare of nothing.
Military
The Blackrock Point Knights (frequently calls Defenders of the Rock) are highly trained. Equipped with weapons, armor, and other equipment formed by incredibly strong materials, even if they weren't as trained as they are it would be difficult to take them down. Blackrock's army is a true force to be reckoned with. In addition to the thousands of volunteers they have, one of the greatest punishments to crimes in the country is to join the army. Convicts are watched very carefully, and if they step out of line are killed nearly instantly. Those who remain are ruthless additions to the highly structured and obedient army.
Technological Level
While the people of Blackrock may not be the smartest in the world, because of the resources at their disposal they have a head start to research and development. Blackpoint is able to make advancements before a lot of other places, however they usually only use those advancements to strengthen their production, mining, or military force. If other countries had the opportunity to gain similar access to resources they would likely make both more efficient and and helpful developments.
Religion
Like nearly every other country the citizens of Blackrock Point are "devoted" to the Church of the Torchlight. However religion is not a major factor in the country. Nearly no one could tell you the teachings or significance of the Torchlight or the Goddess Illusimine.
Foreign Relations
Blackrock has assets the rest of the world needs and they know it. They are able to fully control distribution and supply of the rarest metals on the planet, and have used this to their advantage an innumerable amount of times. Because of the bribery and treachery the country has become known for, most others do not trust Blackrock. However, due to the importance of these resources no country can afford to fully cutoff Blackrock, less they find themselves fall behind the curve of other nations.
Agriculture & Industry
The agriculture of Blackrock Point is nothing significant. There are enough farms to get by without needing to trade too much. Industry however is massive. Major cities and even some smaller ones are very industrialized in order to properly process the metals as well as other manufactured goods. Royalty leads the country specifically with the industry in mind. Most of it is controlled by the Kraken Mountains Miner's Guild.
Trade & Transport
There are several main roads throughout the country travelers use. These roads can become littered with wagons, and it may be difficult/slower than taking back roads. Taking back roads however can be quite dangerous. Blackrock is very high in crime, and this is best witnessed on these back roads where muggings are very likely. Trade with other countries can be done by boat or by wagon.
Education
While most major cities have schools for children, a lot of the smaller towns and settlements do not. This is for several reasons. First, the child proportion of the massive Blackrock population in very small, so they tend to not get much priority. Additionally, the best chance people in small towns have to make a living is mining or working as a blacksmith. Because of this there are not many volunteers to become schoolteachers. The best chance most of these children have to be educated is being home schooled.
