Einadi

The Einadi is a coin that was the currency of the Leheli Empire. On one side was the crest of the Imperial family, and the other side had a seashell, referencing the original source of the coins.

Significance

The coins are valued both as historical artifacts and as collectors items. They are relatively common on Heli, their planet of origin, but are much rarer outside of that system.

Raw materials & Components

Originally, the einadi were made of various precious shells (their name in fact comes from the Old Mangito word for "shell"). Eventually, the coins were standardized began to be made of a specific recipe of blended shell material. The exact recipe depended on the state, and each recipe was kept a closely guarded secret in order to avoid counterfeiting. Once the Leheli Empire began expanding beyond Heli, the coins began to be made of artificial plaster-like materials.
